Have your former staff been correctly deprovisioned?
Many companies experience changes at the start of each year, including the movement of staff. Resignations can often come with challenges for large organisations, from finding replacements to training new employees. With the increase in a wide range of applications they use, varying across departments, many companies may not be aware that former employees may still have access to sensitive information.
A survey conducted by OneLogin found that over 50% of companies are not deprovisioning former employees correctly or on time, leaving open the possibility of data breaches. By not ensuring accounts are blocked or deactivated on or before the final day of employment, the risk can be costly.
